Sacramento – Assemblyman Bill Emmerson, D.D.S., is the latest Republican leader to endorse Senator Jeff Denham for the GOP Nomination for California Lt. Governor. The Assemblyman’s support means that 26 out of 28 Republican Assembly members have now endorsed Denham. In addition, 14 out of the 15 Republican State Senators have also endorsed Denham’s candidacy for LG.

Denham has also earned the lion’s share of endorsements from Republican and conservative leaders across California including U.S. Rep and Chief Deputy GOP Whip Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield, former Senate Republican Leader Jim Brulte of San Bernardino County, Congressman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon of Los Angeles County, National Tax Limitation Committee President Lew Uhler of Roseville and former Mayor Alan Autry of Fresno. Denham has also been endorsed by a number of organizations including the Lincoln Club of San Diego County, the California Small Business Association and the Republican Veterans Association.     

Denham responded to Assemblyman Emmerson’s endorsement by saying, “I’m thankful to have Bill Emmerson’s support. He’s not only a respected leader in the State Assembly but also a respected leader in the statewide medical community. I’m grateful to have earned the support of so many Republican leaders from throughout the state for our campaign to restructure and reform state government.”   

Denham has been campaigning for Lt. Governor for the past year and has over $1 million in his campaign accounts.
